Welcome to week 9 of the Art with Heart Team Colour Creation Blog Hop. Calypso Coral is in the spotlight for this week.
This weeks colour, Calypso Coral, is featured in many of our amazing products including A4 and 12x12 cardstock, Subtles 6x6 DSP, Markers, Stampin' Blends, Classic Stampin' pads and refills, Sweety Symmetry DSP, You're a Peach DSP, Pansy Petals DSP, Watercolour Pencils Assortment 1, Artistry Blooms Sequins & Harvest Meadow DSP (available soon)
The colour combination that I chose for today reminds me of Spring. The colours used for my card are Calypso Coral, Soft Succulent and Basic White.
Another simple card today with Basic White cardstock as the base on which I layered a square panel of Soft Succulent cardstock. Over this square panel I then layered a panel of Pansy Petals DSP to keep the focus on that 'Spring' feeling.
Using the Brilliant Wings Dies I cut out my 'solid' butterfly using Calypso Coral cardstock which I attached to the DSP panel. On top of this butterfly I attached the more detailed version (rose gold metallic specialty paper) using glue dots and lifted the wings a little.
And there you have my very simple, no stamping card that can be used for a variety of occasions.
Sharon Davern is the next person in this hop. Pop on over to her blog to have a look at how she has used Calypso Coral in her project.
If you find a broken link or have come to this blog hop from a different entry point, you can view
the full list of participants on Catherine Proctor’s blog.
Thankyou for visiting. Next week we will be featuring the colour Cherry Cobbler and I look forward to seeing what our team will create.
I love the sweet, delicate, details on your card, Kris. Those tiny flowers on the DSP, and the intricate metallic butterfly, are lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love you simple but very sweet card Kristine. Cards, sans greetings, are so great to have on hand for that unexpected occasion.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great no stamping card Kristine. It makes me think of spring (feeld very far away ATM) and it's a great idea to not include a sentiment right now because with this versatile design you can use it for so many different occasions.
ReplyDeleteYour layered butterfly is paired perfectly with the cute DSP Kristine.
ReplyDeleteI love your pretty, Spring insired card. It's always a great feeling to have some no-sentiment cards in the stash to celebrate any occasion!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely simple card Kristine and to make it ano sentiment one is a good idea that way you've got one ready to go when you need it
ReplyDeleteI love the sweet little flowers in this pattern of DSP Kristine. It’s the perfect choice to compliment your beautiful butterfly.
ReplyDeleteYour butterfly looks very much at home in the field of flowers.
ReplyDeleteI love that you have paired a butterfly with this DSP.
