AWHT COLOUR CREATIONS BLOG HOP - WEEK 9: CALYPSO CORAL

Welcome to week 9 of the Art with Heart Team Colour Creation Blog Hop. Calypso Coral is in the spotlight for this week.

Each week a group of Art with Heart Team members participate in a Blog Hop that is all about Colour. They will be showing you some amazing creations which highlight one of over 50 different colours available through Stampin' Up!.

This weeks colour, Calypso Coral, is featured in many of our amazing products including A4 and 12x12 cardstock, Subtles 6x6 DSP, Markers, Stampin' Blends, Classic Stampin' pads and refills, Sweety Symmetry DSP, You're a Peach DSP, Pansy Petals DSP, Watercolour Pencils Assortment 1, Artistry Blooms Sequins & Harvest Meadow DSP (available soon)

The colour combination that I chose for today reminds me of Spring. The colours used for my card are Calypso Coral, Soft Succulent and Basic White.

Another simple card today with Basic White cardstock as the base on which I layered a square panel of Soft Succulent cardstock. Over this square panel I then layered a panel of Pansy Petals DSP to keep the focus on that 'Spring' feeling.

Using the Brilliant Wings Dies I cut out my 'solid' butterfly using Calypso Coral cardstock which I attached to the DSP panel. On top of this butterfly I attached the more detailed version (rose gold metallic specialty paper) using glue dots and lifted the wings a little.

And there you have my very simple, no stamping card that can be used for a variety of occasions.

I hope you are enjoying our Blog Hop so far. If you have any questions about this project or would like to know more about the products used please feel to message me.

AWHT COLOUR CREATIONS BLOG HOP - WEEK 6: BLUSHING BRIDE

Welcome to week 6 of the Art with Heart Team Colour Creation Blog Hop. Blushing Bride is in the spotlight for this week.

Each week a group of Art with Heart Team members participate in a Blog Hop that is all about Colour. They will be showing you some amazing creations which highlight one of over 50 different colours available through Stampin' Up!.

This weeks colour, Blushing Bride, is featured in many of our amazing products including A4 and 12x12 cardstock, Subtles 6x6 DSP, Markers, Classic Stampin' pads and refills, Hand-Penned Memories & More Card Pack and Hand-Penned 12 x 12 DSP.

The colour combination that I chose for today has always been a go to for me when I want a soft and feminine card. It is a very calming combination I think. The colours used for my card are Blushing Bride, Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla.

I was like a kid in a candy shop playing around with a few of my new goodies that I added to the stash over the last week.

I used Blushing Bride cardstock as the base of my card today. I layered the front using Very Vanilla cardstock and Sahara Sand cardstock which I embossed using the Painted Texture embossing Folder, a versatile folder which can add amazing texture to any project.

Using the circle layering dies I cut out a circle in Very Vanilla cardstock and stamped the "Splat" image from the set Textures and Frames a few times in Sahara Sand Ink. This stamp is from the up and coming sale-a-bration catalogue and you can earn it for free when you spend $90 or more on Stampin' Up! products. Using the Brilliant Wings Dies I cut out my butterflies using Blushing Bride and Vellum cardstock. A solid butterfly was attached to my stamped circle along with two layers of vellum cardstock using glue dots. On top of the vellum I attached the more detailed butterfly and added a couple of basic pearls for bling. By bending the wings forward on all layers, I was able to achieve a more 3D image.

A small strip of Rose Gold 6x6 Metallic Specialty Paper was attached to the front of my card and the circle with butterfly over the top. The card was finished off with a couple of Opal Rounds embellishments. I used a Very Vanilla panel as the insert of my card and decided to not add a sentiment only because I am limited to what I can use and none seemed fitting to my design. I will add one at a later date if I need to.

I hope you are enjoying our Blog Hop so far.
